The Flaming Lips and Stardeath and White Dwarfs with Henry Rollins and Peaches Doing Dark Side of the Moon

The Flaming Lips at Marymoor Park :: by Dave Lichterman

Yes, that is the title of the upcoming Flaming Lips cover of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.

The group, along with Henry Rollins, Peaches and Stardeath and White Dwarfs, will release the album in a digital-only format Dec. 22 exclusively on iTunes. On Dec. 29 it will be made available at other digital music outlets.  Plans for a physical release have not be announced but hopefully it will happen soon because I really want this album on vinyl. I can only imagine what will happen when I sync this up with The Wizard of Oz.

If you happen to be in Oklahoma City on New Year's Eve, both the Lips and Stardeath will perform their version of  Dark Side Of The Moon in its entirety. So far it is the only planned performance of the album. It would be ridiculously badass if they took the Dark Side show on the road next year (ahem, are you listening Adam Zacks & the Sasquatch! booking crew?).
